The southwest coast of Ireland is rich and lush, thanks
to the Gulf Stream coming in from the
southern Atlantic. County Kerry forms this corner of Ireland,
with finger-like Dingle, Iveragh, and Beara penninsulas
pointing out to the sea.
The area has many opportunities for travel around its mountains and coastlines. It's a popular tourist destination, but once you get out into the countryside, things aren't excessively commercial. Even the tourist-oriented towns are not without some charm. County Kerry is a beautiful place for hiking, photography, or just plain relaxing.
